Privacy policy

This policy describes how the local report importer handles Google user data. Last updated November 4, 2026.

Access and purpose

With the account holder’s authorization, the importer uses Gmail’s gmail.readonly scope to confirm the authorized account, read mailbox change identifiers and message metadata, and retrieve matching report messages. It uses subjects and Gmail’s Sent label to identify messages for archiving. It processes selected messages’ contents, including attachments, along with their Gmail identifiers and timestamps. The utility uses this information to save reports and avoid duplicate imports.

Storage and sharing

The importer stores report content and the original email on the operator’s Windows workstation, with receipt metadata for retry and deduplication. Windows user-bound DPAPI protects the OAuth refresh token. The account holder controls access to the workstation and any backups. The importer uses Google’s API to read the authorized mailbox. It keeps the retrieved report contents local and does not sell them, share them for advertising, or use them for model training. Cloudflare serves this public documentation site and may process ordinary request logs. This site does not receive the importer’s credentials, email contents, or archive files.

Retention and account controls

The local utility retains archived reports and receipts until the operator removes them. The operator can stop the local scheduled task and remove the app’s access in Google Account connections. Revocation stops subsequent authorized reads. The account holder can separately remove local archives and backup copies through their workstation’s storage controls.

Limited use

The importer’s use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. The operator publishes revisions to this policy on this page before changing how the importer uses Google user data.
